In the spirit of togetherness and affirmation of Native American culture, the 22nd annual San Manuel Band of Serrano Mission Indians Pow Wow will be held on October 13th, 14th, and 15th, 2017 at California State University, San Bernardino, California.

WHAT: San Manuel Band of Serrano Mission Indians Pow Wow

All activities will take place on the university’s soccer fields near the Coussoulis Arena.

Description:

This is the largest pow wow held in the state of California. The San Manuel Annual Pow Wow boasts one of the largest prizes in Southern California for contest performers of all ages with more than $250,000 in cash available for dancing, drumming and singing contests. 

The event will also feature non-competitive intertribal dancing and exhibitions, including bird singing and dancing, which is Native American music indigenous to Southern California and the Colorado River Region.

Several hundred dancers are usually in attendance with many well known drums from throughout Indian Country. 

Enjoy a variety of arts and crafts vendors, including food, jewelry and art.

Times of Events

Friday begins at 5 p.m. to midnight. Participant Registration begins at 5 p.m. Grand Entry is at 8 p.m.

Saturday the event runs from 11 a.m. to midnight, with Grand Entry for two dance sessions at 1 p.m. and 8 p.m. 

Sunday, the pow wow runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m, with Grand Entry at 1 p.m.

Native American Artists Only. Vendor Booths are 10 x 10. All vendors need fire extinguishers. Availability is limited and no walk up vendors, please.
